Carnival Celebrates Love at Sea with Valentine’s Day Vow Renewals

Couples Around the Fleet Join Ceremonies Led Virtually by Chief Fun Officer Shaquille O’Neal

From ocean views to heartfelt “I dos,” Carnival Cruise Line is celebrating Valentine’s Day once again with its largest vow renewal at sea, virtually officiated by Carnival’s Chief Fun Officer Shaquille O’Neal.

Valentine’s Day Vow Renewals

This growing annual tradition will bring together more than 1,000 married couples across 28 ships to gather on the Lido deck and reaffirm their love. The symbolic ceremonies are complete with a champagne toast, celebratory cake and other surprises to mark the occasion.

“A big congratulations to all the couples who are sharing such a meaningful part of their lives with us,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Whether guests are renewing their vows or just creating new memories together, we’re honored to be part of the celebrations that make their time at sea so special.”

Beyond the Valentine’s Day celebration, the cruise line’s wedding program offers year‑round options for engagements, weddings, and personalized vow renewals. Nearly 1,500 additional couples marked these special milestones last year, celebrating their love in unique settings at sea.
