Hey! I am booked on the one leaving on the 29th.. I have never cruised NCL before and now I am kinda afraid about this boat. There are so many bad reviews.. anyone out there have anything good to say about it?

What cruise lines have you sailed, did you get a good price on this cruise, do you mind a smaller, older ship? I haven't sailed her but know others who have. She is not the newer, glizty ship you may have sailed before..She was not designed for freestyle though there are a few dining choices and there won't be a lot of poolside games (that I find silly, btw). You will find a friendly crew, good food, thought not as good as some lines (better than others) good entertainment and though aging, I have never seen an NCL ship that was not kept clean and in good repair. This doesn't mean the carpet is brand new or you will not see a small spot somewhere, but it you go with the idea you will have a great time and consider everything I am sure you will not regret your choice.

Be sure to report back, if it is bad, give it to us gently....:wave

I'm booked on the 29, and did sail her last November. Its an older ship, not a lot of bells and whistles, But the food is good, the staff is awesome, and the price was very inexpensive Debbie

We are going to be sailing on the Majesty on the 29th also. First cruise for my partner and myself. She and I are both looking forward to some basic relaxation. No cooking, cleaning etc. for a week. lol. Don't have to be much to satisfy us. Price is right and convenient to our NC home. Wish you luck and maybe we will bump into each other. Figuratively, of course... =sleep :wave Sherman

My wife and I sailed the Majesty two years ago and had a great time. We have sailed RC and Carnival. This ship lacks some of the flash, but we enjoyed the heck out of it. We are leaving out of Charleston on the 29th. Remember, you get what you pay for. For the money, its one of the best deals around. When we sailed, the service was good as was the food. No big screens on the deck or waterslides, but all that you need. You will all have a good time. Especially if you have never sailed before. We actually talked with the cruise director and his family at length two years ago. I thought it was much more personal than with some of the larger ships.

You get what you pay for. The 29th of November will be my second time on the Majesty. We have sailed on other lines, but this is not a terrible ship. It is older and smaller and lacks the bells and whistles, but it is still a fine trip. You are on vacation. Enjoy it! We always have. The crew was fine in our previous experience. The thing I liked was no one was trying to cram a drink or picture down your throat.

We are out of Wilmington. The ride to Charleston is nice and the Majesty is fine as well. You will enjoy it.

We will be leaving on the 29th also....This will be our 2nd trip on the Majesty. It is a nice ship with a very personable staff.
Not as flashy as others, but sometimes I like that better....
