This is our first 12 night cruise and first to the Med. We are booked on the October 24 cruise on the Brilliance. Any comments on weather and sea conditions that time of year and any tips we can use? We have cruised the Carribean a number of times and are now branching out with retirement.
We arrrive a day early and are staying overnight at the Grand Havana.
All comments gratefully received.

You will have a wonderful time. Late October will be mild, so take sweaters/jackets for morning and evening. The tourist crowds from the summer will be gone, so there shouldn't be long lines anywhere. Unless there are unusual storms - the waters should be relatively calm. It's nice to go a day early so you can see Barcelona - it's a great city.

Hello! I'm also on the October 24th sailing on the Brilliance and can't wait! I'm going to be in Barcelona a day early as well and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for things to do/places to see in Barcelona. I'm staying at the Hotel 1898. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

We did this cruise and the itinerary is fantastic. Sailing into Venice is breathtaking. You have picked a really good time to go - no summer crowds. The Brilliance and the Jewel are my favourite ships. As somebody else has mentioned the evenings will be quite cool.
