Pretty much most all of the carribean accepts US dollars. Although do not expect to get an accurate change back. I found that in mexico and Belize most of the locals are not current with exchange rates and you will get a varied difference in the change you recieve. You can always exchange USD's for the local currencies at the pursers desk onboard. You will usually find a currency exchange somewhere in most ports, or nearby shopping plazas. Also, The Bahamian Dollar is the same value as the USD, so you don't need to exchange them in the bahamas. So if an item is selling for 39.99BD it will also be 39.99USD as well...
