Hi,
I cannot recall how late the pools are open, I think til dinner time? The jacuzzis are open later, til 10 or 11PM. That's right! No liquor aboard, but I hear that some people have successfully smuggled it on. If you purchase any alcohol in port or on the ship, they will take it from you and you get it back on the last night-- they want you to buy THEIR stuff, drink THEIR drinks! I have also heard of some folks successfully smuggling port purchases to their cabins. It's up to you! My hubby and I like libations very much but found we tended to be very thirsty for things like iced tea and water a lot of the time. You can always drink heavily in port! The drink of the day is usually tatsy but of course, not cheap. But hey! You're on vacation, right?

Having cruised on Carnival 4x, I have never had a problem bringing alcohol on board. Simply pack it carefully in your check in luggage and it will arrive quite safely to your cabin. Do not place any alcohol in your carry ons, with the exception of wine. Cruise line policy states that passengers are allowed to bring a few bottles of wine on board to celebrate a "special occasion". Pools, which contain salt water, usually stay open 'til around 8 PM as I recall.

Empty out listerine bottles and fill them back up with hard liquor. Also you can bring on as much soda and water as you want. No hassles.

I just got back yesterday from my cruise on the Fascination and my friend and I were able to bring aboard about 20 tiny bottles of liquor. Again - do not put those in your carry ons. Although you are allowed to bring wine and champaigne aboard. When going through security before boarding they saw my 2 bottles of wine in the screening machine and made me take them out to show them that it was wine.
