CarlaS you do get close to some good size glaciers. The calving is all left up to Mother Nature. We were fortunate to see some nice calving on our tour. You are able to get in much closer to the glaciers than on many tours because the catamaran does go over a lot of the ice fields to get near the glaciers. They also stop and break off some of the ice from floating ice and give it to you in a glass or in your favorite beverage if you wish.You will get into College Fjord on this tour also.The tour is very well run and very infomative. We did also buy a DVD of their tours from the boat. It is not of your particular tour just a DVD that does show where they go and what you may be seeing.
