yes myself and my husband both in our 40's, first hal cruise and so looking forward to it. Hoping to have a pub crawl like the others have had.

I'm on the one right behind you. 10 day Panama departing 3/29. Second cruise on the Zuiderdam for my wife and me...our first since it has been refurbished. We're in our 40's and one thing we like about HAL is the lack of body tattoos and belly-flop contests. Yes, it's an older, more civilized crowd but that can be quite nice at times. Especially when you're on a 10 day cruise that's designed for education/exploration along with the vacation aspect. Have a great cruise!

Could you tell me if you are familiar with the Main Deck? Unfortunately, we are in Cabin 1094 which appears to be under the galley:X We bought a DD Guarantee and were"upgraded" to a D category. I was hoping we would have better luck from the upgrade fairy and move up to a balcony. I know, wishful thinking........when that didn't havppen we tried to buy an upgrade to a balcony, but they are sold out! So, I am trying to adjust my attitude ........ I know we are very fortunate to be able to travel in these rough economic times, but still........we do love to get a good night's sleep. Oh well, I hope I can find some good earplugs that will actually work. I hope you enjoy your cruise and that you were able to get a good cabin.

glad to hear there is more on this ship. Never sailed hal before so i cant be much help. Hoping for some nice sunny hot weather. Have a great trip!!!!!
