3 continent cruise

Received an e-mail from Princess today and it said "Amazon/Africa/Mediterranean". I think it was 21 days. Prices seemed pretty good and it looked interesting.

Of course, I deleted it. Now I'm sorry I did as I might like to look into the cruise. Can't find that exact title anywhere on the Princess site - I think it was March or April 04. Don't know what ship, nothing much more than the 3 title words.

Anyone get that e-mail that could tell me the date and what the "title" of the cruise is?

Thanks!

Did not get the mailing, but took a few minutes to look and think that the cruise you saw is on the Royal Princess leaving Manaus, Brazil on April 6th.
Goes to northern Africa (Senegal & Morocco), Gibralter, Spain, France and ends in Rome on April 27th
Happy Cruisin'!

Belgique, I received that Princess email today. The deal was Cat. D-G (oceanview) for $2,079; Cat. JJ-L (obstructed ov) for $1,879; and Cat. BB-BC (balcony) for $3,895. It's for Captain's Circle members and the promotion code is PEA. This does not include fees of $112.08. I called Princess to find out what cabin selection was. Best Cat D was either very far forward or very far aft on Caribe. D369 on Dolphin was best Cat. E (that's midship on the what is the promenade deck). Then I asked what the air would be from Detroit: $1,200. So that upped the cost the cruise quite a bit; plus transfers are $169. Manaus is on the Amazon, I believe. In checking flights myself, found that you could go to Sao Paulo from Dulles, Atlanta, Miami (and probably other places) and then to Manaus, but the costs doing it myself were even higher.

My husband and I booked this cruise in December (Manaus, Brazil to Rome) - plus we also booked the Ft. Lauderdale to Manuas leg which begins March 25, 2004. It looks like a really good trip. Am awaiting our pre-cruise documents which should arrive within the next week.

Did you book the trip? Before I found your note I put out a Roll Call notice on the Princess Roll Call forum to find out if anyone is sailing with us. Have communicated with about 8 people so far who are mostly on the Manaus to Rome trip. Would like to add you to our e-mail group if you are traveling with us and want to get to know others who will be on board. Let me know if you want to be added.

Hi Cricket,

Hope your Royal Princess voyage went well.

We are considering the Ft. Lauderdale to Manaus itinerary for next year and it appears that Royal Princess will be doing it again in 2005 but for the last time. We have sailed on the Royal Princess several times and are very find of her.

Would you be so kind as to send me a personal note regarding your observations about cruising the Amazon? I think I would like to do it but am not quite sure and getting a first hand assessment would be most helpful.

My email is ClarenceThomas3@hotmail.com and thanks for taking time to respond.
