Anyone else on this sailing? There are 6 of us (3 couples) going on this cruise.
We have heard some really good things about this ship and since none of us have cruised to the Mexican Riviera before, we decided to give it a try.
Any info on this ship or itinerary would be welcome.

Thanks,
Donna

Donna: We were on the Sun Princess for 10 days in March and we thought it was a beautiful ship. The atrium is large with several lounges and music each evening. I thought the pool area was beautiful and there are several decks on the front of the ship for a great view when leaving or entering a port.

We had a balcony cabin on Aloha deck with rooms above and below us so it was quiet.
The cabin was small and the balcony was very small, but a balcony is a balcony is a balcony. And the cabins are light and decorated with accents of blues and greens. Room service was fine and always on time. Food was good in the dining room and room service. We did not care for the food in the buffet. Didn't seem like enough variety to us. The dining room is not as pretty as many ships but it was fine.
We had assigned late seating and did not use personal choice. Sevice from our dining staff was excellent.

We are pretty laid back so a lot of activities is not important to us. I have cruised four times in the last year and feel that a cruise is what you make of it. There are more activities on board than you have time for. You just have to determine what you like.

The shore excursions were good and reasonably priced. The only problem was we had to tender in one of the ports and our ship only used two tenders which was not enough for 1950 people.

Hope this helps. We would like to sail on the Sun again. I am sure you will have a good time.

Thanks MissyLou. I appreciate the info!
I see that you will be going on the Infinity soon. We were on the infinity to Hawaii last year and the Summit this past April.
They are both amazing!

Can't wait for our next cruise!

I just got a brochure from Princess in the mail today and plan to talk to my TA about that sailing date tomorrow. I wonder if he can do even better than Princess. Worth a try! :) It would be another "mom and daughter" cruise, since we sailed on the Star Princess this last Spring for 7 nights. Adding the two other ports to make it 10 nights would make it even more fun, and I have heard good things about the Sun Princess. Only thing is, it would mean my 10 year old daugher missing 4 days of school. Well, I've got a few months or more to think about it! I'll call my TA and have him hold a cabin for us. Who knows, maybe I'll see you on board!
