5 in a room

I noticed on the Carnival website that it was giving me the option to have 5 in one room on a Fantasy class ship. Is this a new development or have we always been able to do that? I thought 4 to a room was max which I know it is the limit on Conquest and Spirit Class ships are there any other class of ships that you can book 5 to a room?

Holiday, Fantasy class (all eight) and perhaps the Destiny, Victory and Triumph (I am not sure about the Destiny, Victory and Triumph). Now, whether you should or not is a different story.

In addition, Disney and Royal Caribbean have cabins that will sleep five (or more).

Well it would be my wife and 3 daughters ages 6, 3, and the youngest would be less than a yr old.

Okay, given the children's ages, all you need is one of the ships where Carnival will let you bring in an extra bed. Carnival will not allow that on a Spirit or Conquest (or newer) class ship. However, the Destiny, Triumph and Victory might be old enough to allow it. You can contact Carnival to verify it. Because your children are small enough, the two youngest can share one bed and you will not need an extra bed. In fact, even the two oldest are small enough to share.

As I said, Disney and Royal Caribbean also have cabins that can sleep five or more.

Well I have always thought that we could get 5 in a room. I just thought that the rooms were limited to 4. Now my big complaint goes back into buying a ticket for a child under a year old.

We are going on the Inspiration in 2 weeks and we will have 5 in a room. DH, myself and our 3 kids, ages 5 1/2, 3 and 11 months. Of course, the 11 month old will be in a crib. So, it's possible and definitely doable. As long as we get to cruise, we don't care how many we cram in a room.
