Does anyone know if Carnivals newer ships can still accomodate 5 in a cabin?

Your best bet is two connecting cabins. For instance, look at 5105 and 5107 on Upper Deck of Carnival Legend. Or an outside with an inside across the hall in order to save money.

Carnival will typically accomodate 5 in a cabin under certain conditions. Coast guard requirements prevent them from booking more passengers than the life boats can accomodate. Have your TA request a cabin for 5 and see how they respond. Usually they will place you in a quad cabin with a rollaway bed. Carnival is one of only a few cruise lines that will do this.

Are you sure you want five in a cabin?? They're only 185 sq. ft. (37 sq. ft. per person), and just one bathroom!! Adjoining staterooms would probably work better, and you'll all be speaking to each other at the end of your cruise!.

Good Morning everyone, We are booked on the Jubilee for May 31st. We have a balcony cabin and there will be five of us. We are used to being together in one hotel room so we will be okay. We booked early though, if the ship was almost full we wouldn't have been able to book to a cabin. Scarlet

Scarlet - If you're booked on the Jubilee in a "balcony cabin," you likely have some sort of suite. There are no balcony staterooms per se on that ship, since it's about 17 years old. Being used to one bathroom and other such confinements is a plus for you and your party. But 5 passengers in a single stateroom is bound to make enemies of friends.

You are right Al, it is a suite on the Jubilee. I do think that it is smaller than the suites on the newer ships to be sure. You are also right that 5 passengers in a single stateroom is bound to mnake enemies of friends. Depending on who you are with sometimes two passengers in a single stateroom is one too many!

Jubilee suites are cat. 11, if memory serves me right, on same deck as the bridge. There are, I think 10 or 12 of them and by todays standards, small for a suite, they are equivalent to a balcony cabin on most modern ships. With 5 shower a lot.

No the newer ships do not hold 5 people. I verified this through Carnival. Sorry.

Well, my family of FIVE are booked on the Triumph with two other couples who also have families of FIVE, each family has a cabin that accommodates FIVE. Call Carnival directly, or you can go to EBAY travel and book the exact room you want from their website, provided there are still cabins left on the ship that will accommodate 5. We are traveling over the February vacation week, so we booked way ahead of time and had no problem at all getting our cabins fairly close together.

Our thought was we don't plan on being in our cabin other than to sleep so we aren't worried about space. The kids are old enough to get up and get themselves going, and hubby and I can just hang out in bed until they are up and out.
