After 43 cruises on several cruise lines I can honestly say this was the worst we have ever been on. That is a shame because we enjoyed our previous Princess cruises. Bus from hotel (Princess) was 2 and a half hours late. The Princess rep at the hotel gave us a placard that indicated Princess would collect our luggage the last night, take it to the airport and we would not see it again until we landed at home and they would print out our airline boarding passes.. People on the Crown had never heard of this even though it came from a Princess rep. Medallion app cancelled several of our specialty dining reservations and by the time we realized it our times were no longer available. A large number of the slot machines in the casino were broken down and were never brought on line. They changed the itinerary I think it was 6 times along with changing arrival and departure times for the ports we did get to. The real killer was we had done an Alaska cruise once before and did not do whale watching excursion so that was to be a biggie for us this trip. Princess cancelled Juneau and substituted Icy Point and then cancelled Icy Point so no whale watching. The White Pass railroad excursion was significantly shorter than the one we took last time as well. I am sure most of you heard that the ship was having propulsion problems and that was the reason for all the itinerary changes. Deck 11 was reporting pottie problems as well. Bottom line is this ship was not ready for a passenger cruise and should have been held back until it was ready to go. Princess gave all $100 OBC for missed port and 20% cruise credit for a future cruise. My opinion is that was no where near sufficient for all the issues on this cruise. Crew was working hard and we know it was not their fault - good folks all around. Have read a number of other folks reviews on this cruise and the ones I saw were pretty much along the same lines. Have not seen a single positive review yet. Hate it when this happens but as I said we have been on a bunch of cruises before and never had issues like this trip. Hopefully we will not see these type issues again. Shame on you Princess this was not up to your standards.
