9/3 update on conniecat

Sorry it has taken me so longe to make a post. I've been dealing with computer issues.

When I talked to Connie on Wednesday she said that her left leg had healed, the right leg is still in the healing process. No release date yet and probably won't have one for a while. Her blood sugar is all over the place. She walked 40 feet today, not a good day. She can only go up one step.

She had a doctor appointment today for an evaluation and second opinion. They are still saying that she needs to valve replaced. They would like to go in through a vein in the groin, provided its not blocked. If it is blocked then they have to do open heart surgery. The doctor said that her heart is weak. Now she has to go back and see the other doctor who is the one that will be doing the proceedure. The procedure has not been approved by medicare so she is not sure if they will pay for it.

Loads more prayers heading connie's way! I sure wish she was recovering more quickly but she has been so ill that I guess slow and steady progress is good! Let us pray that they will be able to deal with her heart problems. ((((((connie))))))

I'll get her mailing address and room number and post it. I know she looks forward to the cards. She is at a lost because they do not have an internet connection for the residents. Beside her fur babies.........that is the one thing she really misses. She was in the hospital for 3 weeks and now has been in the rehab center for 4 weeks. That's a long time to be away from the fur baies.
