We were more centralized on the Destiny but have been towards the back before with no problems. You have the dining room above you so there won't be any late night noises. It is usually less bumpy in the back than up front...perhaps some vibration - but I don't remember any really bad vibrations on this ship.
This was not our favorite Carnival ship but the ports are remarkable. It's been a couple of years since we've been- so much could have changed on the ship since then. Even if you find the ship isn't what you expected you will still have a wonderful cruise - we did!
You can find some of the Capers at this site...but they are from last year. Some things may have changed depending on whether they have the same cruise director now as they did then (usually unlikely).

Don't forget the duct tape - especially if you are flying - it's great for patching tears in luggage and lots of other things, too. Put it in your checked luggage though and not your carry on. Don't forget a powerstrip or some other means of expanding your one plug in to at least three. Don't sweat the small stuff and have a wonderful time!
