CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES TAKES DELIVERY OF NEW 110,000-TON CARNIVAL GLORY

2,974-Passenger SuperLiner To Be Largest 'Fun Ship' Ever Based At Port

Canaveral

MIAMI (06/27/03) - In ceremonies today at the Fincantieri shipyard

in Monfalcone, Italy, Carnival Cruise Lines, a unit of Carnival Corporation

& plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK), took delivery of the new 110,000-ton

Carnival Glory.  It is the 19th vessel in Carnival's "Fun Ship" fleet.

Following a 12-day transatlantic crossing from Monfalcone to Port

Canaveral, Fla., the 2,974-passenger vessel will be "officially" named July

14 by space industry pioneer Dr. Sally Ride then sail on a special five-day

pre-inaugural cruise to Mexico. Following this voyage, Carnival Glory will

launch year-round seven-day Caribbean service from Port Canaveral July 19,

becoming the largest "Fun Ship" ever based at that port.

"A 'floating resort' in every sense of the word, Carnival Glory is a

vacation destination unto itself and brings a new level of excitement to the

Port Canaveral market.  Including Carnival Glory, Carnival is expected to

carry some 390,000 passengers annually from Port Canaveral -- a 72 percent

increase over just two years ago," said Bob Dickinson, Carnival president

and CEO.

The second in Carnival's "Conquest-class" series, Carnival Glory

features a variety of on-board amenities and facilities, including 22

"themed" lounges and bars with striking interiors that offer dramatic

interpretations of different colors.   These include the White Heat Dance

Club, featuring a motif of oversized candles; the Amber Palace, a 1,400-seat

theater inspired by Russia's legendary Amber Room; and On The Green, a

golf-themed sports bar.

The massive SuperLiner also houses four swimming pools - one with a

214-foot-long water slide and another covered by a retractable dome - a

13,300-square-foot health spa, a jogging track, a full gambling casino, and

a comprehensive golf program offering professional instruction both aboard

ship and during golf excursions.  A 4,200-square-foot children's play area,

part of the line's top-rated "Camp Carnival" program, and a teen center with

a game room and dance club are also available.

Dining options range from elegant two-level formal dining rooms and an

upscale reservations-only "steakhouse-style" supper club to an expansive

two-level poolside restaurant offering casual alternatives for breakfast,

lunch and dinner, a 24-hour pizzeria, New York-style deli, specialty seafood

station, a grille area, and more.

Of the ship's 1,487 staterooms, 60 percent offer an ocean view with

60 percent of those featuring private balconies.

Carnival Glory's five-day pre-inaugural voyage from Port Canaveral will

operate July 14-19 and feature port calls to Costa Maya and Cozumel.

The ship's seven-day Caribbean schedule begins July 19 and encompasses

alternating eastern and western Caribbean voyages departing Port Canaveral

every Saturday. Eastern Caribbean cruises call at Nassau, St. Thomas/St.

John, and St. Maarten, while western Caribbean voyages include Key West,

Fla.; Belize City, Belize; and Cozumel and Progreso/Merida, Mexico.
