[size=x-large]And this was a surprise, a Pilated Woodpecker. They are not common, and there were two of them there. I watched one fly, his wingspan was unbelieveable.They kept trying to put the tree between them and me, but I did get a couple.[/size]

i do love these pictures very much ;) I need to go to the nature park here and take some pictures of owls ;). i got my new lens today Connie. its a 28mm to 135mm if i had more moolah i coulda gotten one with bigger apature.

That's nice, good clarity and color. What manufacturer did you go with? The 28 mm with give you good panaromic shots, and the 135 is a pretty good zoom, good combination in this lens to start with. Nice thing about an SLR, you can always add new lenses as you can afford them.

BTW your weather looks about as great as ours does, The whole city and county are covered in fog tonight.
