A ride throught the park, photos part 2

[size=x-large]This is all elk. I love this first one, he thought he was hiding from me.[/size]



[size=x-large]I ran into these at the top of the hill, and they let us know plainly the road was their's and we would have to wait.[/size]





[size=x-large]They were digging holes in the snow to get to whatever grass was left.[/size]







[size=x-large]And this is the big guy, the leader of the harem.[/size]







[size=x-large]They all cut through the woods and ran down the hill. I drove around and met them at the bottom. Wonder if they were running to meet me?[/size]









[size=x-large]A couple close ups, a female and some babies[/size]









[size=x-large]I thought this guy was wearing his winter hat, but it was a trash bag. I tried to find a ranger to help him get it off, but couldn't find one. And I wasn't about to do it, these are not tame. I hope he finally got free.[/size]

Thanks for the great pics, Connie. I didn't think I'd know an elk from a deer, but I can see the difference between "Part 1" and "Part 2".

me loves these nice pictures but is sad about the one with trash bag. poor critter. i hope he can free that from his horns ;/
