just curious about star AA mini balcony...saw on caribbean princess the dolphin balconies are smaller. is this true for star ... ?...as if so may try to change to caribe. also if you're going on ll/28 from FLL let us know! will be 5 of us in two AA's. mike

yes, the mini suite balconies are smaller then the carib deck's balconies. this is true for most of the grand class ships. we are booked on the jan 9th star sailing on the carib deck.

...but they're only a little bit smaller, you'd hardly notice it. It's not like the Aloha & Baja balconies that are half the size. The main disadvantage with the Dolphin balconies is that they are fully exposed.... it's the reason we always stick with the Caribe cabins.

We had an AA on the Star---twice in two years. Not enough room for a lounge chair, but the balcony was good enough for us! You will love the ship.

thanks to all of you...next question: can AA balcony doors be opened to join two mini-suites, thus creating larger balcony? sure could find out from princess, but this is probably quicker and easier lol! we're in 502 and 504 on dolphin deck, would like to "combine" the minis.

Yes, the doors can be opened. Just ask the cabin steward, they have a square key that will open it ...or just stick a butter knife or anything else that will fit in there and you can open it yourself.
