Is the food in the supper clubs better than what you would get in the dining room?

I can only comment on my one experience in the Nouveau Supper club aboard the Spirit this past November. We found the food to be somewhat better than in the dining room, but it was debatable if it was worth the surcharge. Our judgment on this was affected by the atmosphere in the Club. We were expecting an elegant quiet dining experience which it started out to be. About midway through our dinner a party of six was seated near our table. They were fairly loud and we really weren't interested in hearing, clearly, a lot of the details of their lives. I feel we would have enjoyed the whole evening much more without this exhibition. It didn't spoil things for us, but it sure took the polish off. I must point out that the service was very good, without being in the way. The menu selection was very thorough, the food was high quality and well prepared.

Yes. The food in the Main Dining Room is really good. The quality and service in the Supper Club is even better. It is a nice leisurely experience -- plan on 2.5 hours or so. Lots of excellent choices. They take great care of you there. We had a lovely and romantic table for 2 on the Starboard side last February on the Spirit and enjoyed our meal with an exquisite sunset. Got lots of great pictures. I highly recommend it, it is worth every penny of the $25 pp cover charge, plus wine, plus tip. The Warm, Flourless Chocolate Cake is a MUST for dessert. :)

Someone on this board may have a copy of their menu that you can look at.

I think so loops. At least it was on Carnival Legend. Supper club fare offered a 7 course meal. Each course was just the right amount. ( I recommend the 'Creme Brulee' for dessert ) Also, book the supper club shortly after you board. as it fill quickly.

But the food in the main dining room aft (truffles) was also top notch . Presented as a true culinary artist would. Cheers. :cheers

Can someone answer a couple of qns about the supper clubs for me? TIA
Is it pre fixed or do you pick each course?
Can you pick and choose like in the dining rooms (like...no salad, but 2 different soups, etc.)??
Someone said something about tipping...how is that done-cash or like a credit card on the sail & sign?

Thanks so much!!

You can have appetizer, soup, salad, entree and dessert. I think if you skip salad and want two soups you can do that but if you want two entrees you have to pay another $25.
