Advantages to Booking Onboard?

Does anyone know what advantages there might be to booking a Carnival cruise while onboard? The cabin that I want on a cruise that is 13 months away, is available. Any advantage to putting off booking until we sail in 3 1/2 weeks while onboard the Glory?

No advantage....but no disadvantage, either. You'll probably get some "perk" [such as cabin credit/upgrades] for booking while onboard. But many of those same "perks" are available if you book at home.
