Adventure of the Seas

Just came back from Adventure of the Seas cruise on 10/7/07. Cruise was great. Will never leave from San Juan again. Boat was filled with 1600 Puerto Ricans who only had to pay $250 each (Children were free). This was confirmed by the crew.

They were the rudest group i have ever delt with. The boat did cater to them from childrens activities in only Spanish to the never ending salsa dancing.

The ship should be a luxory cruise liner not a feeding frenzy for ignorant @#$%&. The pushing and shoving and screaming "Puerto Rico" all night got old.

If you speak to the almost 3000 American passengers on board they also hated the behavior of this group. Even the crew hates when they fill the boat up for the cheap rate. Because along with the cheap rates come cheap people.

They did not tip and that's how the majority of the crew is paid.

RCCL is making a huge mistake.

I feel bad for the crew they were outstanding and they deserve to be treated better.

Other than 1600 rude and rowdy people, the ship was outstanding and the ports of call were beautiful.

Jackhammer,

Yes, RCCL is making a huge mistake placing so much emphasis on catering to the Puerto Rican passengers. I sailed Adventure in Aug. 2007, & yes, the ship & ports of call were wonderful. My biggest complaint was the 5 nights of salsa music in the Blue Moon lounge. Considering the Blue Moon is probably the nicest lounge on Adventure, I didn't understand why RCCL didn't have a different music theme each night.

Sorry you didnt have as great a cruise as you could, but a few things......

The crew would not know how much the passengers paid.

and 1600 locals plus 3000 Americans(not sure how you figured that) = 4600........passenger capacity on the AOS is 3114.......

If your child was not spoken to in English in AO,you should have told someone that.......
