I was wondering what the age was for you to have your own cabin, not traveling with your parents. I'm 18, and I know on most other cruise lines it's 21, but on the Princess site I can't find where this is noted. Thanks!

I called Princess regarding this several weeks ago and their minimum age is 18.

I always thought it was 25. :? :? I know with Carnival, it is 25 to book your own cabin. I thought most, if not all, of the other cruise lines were raising the minimum age. There are exceptions - if you are married and under 25, sometimes they'll let you book. Has there been some new change that I'm not aware of?

Actually, on Carnival it's 21. However, if anyone in the cabin is under 21, there must be someone 25 or over booked in it as well.

Princess is one of the few at 18, though the minimum age to drink or gamble is still 21.

Thanks for the info, Burbunny. My niece just checked out Carnival a couple months ago and she couldn't cruise with them because she isn't 25 and either was her friend. Sounds like they got some bad info. I'll tell her what you said. She'll be so glad! Thanks!

I wonder if Princess will change their age requirement now that they are under the Carnival umbrella?

Good question Pea. I would think that they will most likely keep their same regulations and rules. Time will tell the whole story. There were two young girls (19 year olds) on the 10 Day CH@OS cruise in Jan. that were very well behaved and throughly enjoyed their cruise.
