The Last Frontier. The Great Land. The Land of the Midnight Sun. Whatever you call it, Alaska is a state of extreme beauty with once-in-a-lifetime adventures waiting around every corner. From colossal glaciers that calf right in front of your eyes to adorable puppies being groomed to become the next generation of champion sled dogs to whales breaching just a stone’s throw away from your sightseeing boat, unforgettable memories abound on an Alaska cruise. We asked our Facebook fans to share their most amazing Alaska photos and memories, and we received some beautiful shots and special thoughts. In fact, we received so many that we’re dedicating two posts to Alaska through the eyes of our Facebook fans. These gorgeous photos are sure to make any traveler ready to book their next cruise to Alaska and experience the majesty for themselves. REPEAT AFTER ME Alaska is a region that enjoys a high percentage of repeat cruisers. Perhaps it’s the vast amount of adventures that need to be experienced over multiple visits. Or the breathtaking beauty that just gets more glorious with each visit. We have cruised to Alaska 6 times (5 times a 7 day trip and once a 14 day trip) all on Holland America! The views are still breathtaking after 6 trips. Wonderful service on board — we probably go again! — Sigrid Tilley Fourth Alaskan cruise coming up on Aug 24th and just as excited about this cruise as I was with the 1st 3 – Alaska has a power about it that can’t be explained – the natural beauty is just awe inspiring!!! — Wendy Munro Eileen Graham: We’re joining you for our 4th Alaska cruise June 1st. It’s one of our favorite adventures and memory making places. See you soon! Debbie Fuller: Japan to Vancouver through Alaska on the Volendam last April (2014).
