Bottles of alcohol purchaced on the ship. Are you allowed to take them to your room and consume them? Or do they keep them till the end of the cruise? (CARNIVAL SPIRIT)

You can "sneak" bottles of alcohol onboard in your luggage, just make sure its wrapped good so it doesnt break.
I have also brought bottles back onboard from the ports.

How do you do that? Just carry it in a bag and don't say anything? Is returning from a port of call any different than the original embarkation?

In the port where you board the ship, I just pack whatever I want to take in my checked luggage. In the ports we visit if you buy something, when you get back on the ship you put everything through the scanner and if you have alcohol they tell you to check it at the table. Your supposed to walk over to the table and fill out a card and give it to the person there and then on the last night of the cruise they bring it to your room. But if you have something you want to take to your room with you, just put it under your towel or beach bag or whatever your carrying and walk on by.
