I kinda figured - it's remanufactured. Always makes me wonder what went wrong the first time(s).

Lots of things that are classified as re-manufactured never had anything wrong with them in the first place. Some were bought & returned due to "buyers remorse".
Other reasons:
cancelled orders – Fully-functional products that leave a warehouse and therefore can no longer be sold as new.
Factory or reseller overstocks – Items that are returned by the seller to make room for newer product lines.
There might have been a missing part which would have been fixed.
Everything is checked out to make sure all is right and they come with a full manufacturers warranty.

Someone on that website said he bought a new one that didn't work, but bought a remanufactured one and it was fine. I don't have enough non carpeted floors to warrant one, or else I would buy one.
