Hi,

Does anyone know if you can book directly with the America's Cup regatta or do the cruiselines have a monopoly on the bookings. Their website state that if you are on cruise ship, that you must book through the cruiselines.

Has anyone done this excursion and if yes, what's it like?

Thanks.

This is a very fun excursion. I'm afraid you will have to book through the cruise line - when they are in port they do hold a monopoly on bookings. Its the same with the dive operators the cruise lines use or the snorkel boats or nautilus subs, etc. I will say, I thought it was so much fun, I'd probably book it again, even at the higher cruise line rate. You are in a race with another yacht and you have a choice to participate (I was a 'winch wench') or take a non-active role. If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to try to answer.

Agree with Cal - it's worth every penny! Fabulous fun - great sights - gorgeous yachts. As an old salt from the Great Lakes, this was a huge thrill for me. I'd pay twice the money for all the fun!

Just do it!

Thanks for the feedback.

We're looking forward to it.

One quick question........is the check in location close to cruise dock or do you have take a bus or cab it?

Thanks again.
