Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken Breast

Maple Glazed Salmon Fillet with a timbale of golden yellow rice and roasted basil flavored cherry tomatoes

Braised Swiss Steak - slowly cooked in a rich gravy, served over classic mashed potatoes and baby carrots with chives
or
Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche served with orzo pasta, sauteed spinach and grilled tomato

Dessert:
Sour Dough Bread Pudding - pieces of sour dough bread, soaked in a rich egg custard, then baked until golden, served with whiskey flavored sauce

The dessert was the best part.

When they had the Key Lime Pie -- I tried -- way too sour -- everyone at our table took a bite and pushed it away.

Mariners brunch was probably the worst meal I had on the 'mooda cruise aboard the Veendam! The Key Lime pie was not pie but a small tart and was definitely more lemon than lime! The service was not very good either! (Just saying!) We made up for it with a fantabulous meal in the Canaletto one evening! I am so thrilled that we tried that option!! Delicious food, wonderful sevice and the staff was so congenial! I would look forward to another meal (or two) at Canaletto on my next HAL cruise.

I was happy to see the change as well. I just hope that the other ships get rid of the Key Lime Pie as well. It was horrible on our last ships as well -- Zuiderdam and Ryndam.

On the evening of the Master Chef Dinner in the dining room -- the Pinnacle was having Le Cirque -- so we chose to go to the Canaletto -- great meal. We hate the Master Chef Dinner.
