gene,Minor differences that I remember....I have not been on the Golden.Star has a nicer spa than Grand They did charge a daily fee unless you scheduled a service in the spa .. Still well worth it. tropical rainforest showers, heated contured stone beds, and a private steam grotto/shower for two!!!!Additional on the Grand 2/02 the aft of the ship were adult only pools and whirpools. The Star 2/03 -aft whirlpool, port side had a childrens wading pool near nearbyI believe there was less gaudy gold and marble on Star as well Enjoy, Ron
