Any updates on Sensations problems?

I'm scheduled to go cruisen on 4/27 (my second cruise). I have read all the recent complaints, reviews and news articles regarding the Sensation and all the problems. Has any recently returned from a trip on board the Sensation have any updates? Good or Bad, but I'm hoping good. Thanks!!

I don't see any reviews in the review section of the Sensation from this year. However, there have been some posts on the forum boards regarding the Sensation. As I recall, it seems Carnival has taken care of the early problems. Do a search on the Sensation and you should be able to find these posts.

You may actually be on the Fantasy. I don't know your itinerary but the Sensation sailings have switched with the Fantasy because the Sensation can't sail fast enough to get to the destinations that was on the itinerary. Carnival informed us that the Sensation has a bad bearing that wont allow them to really crank up the speed but doesn't shut the ship down on a shorter itinerary that requires less speed. They supposedly not going to repair the ship until it's next dry dock which could be a good while. That is what we were told by Carnival.

We are sailing out of Port Canaveral. There has been local news reports of smelly sewage and no a/c in some cabins, but I read some posts on other forums that the smell was coming from the new carpet that was put down. Thats easy to deal with because it can't be helped and if they have put down new carpet atleast Carnival is making an effort. My group was just wondering if anyone who has sailed recently has any info (good/bad) on the situation. I'm hoping good, but I'm sailing anyways and will take things as they come.
