Just came back - great time.

Food was good - Sabatini's was terrific.

Room service - we ordered coffee each morning and it arrived right on time. We did not order any food though.

Entertainment was good - Comedians were very good. Went to the movies on the deck - it was great.

We actually docked by 6:30 AM. We were off the ship by 9:30.

No, unfortunately we did not have an early flight home. The debarkation started early. Princess distributes colored tags the night before and you leave according to your group. We did not book our flights through Princess so our flight time did not enter into this. I believe people with early flight times were the first to leave the ship. Amazing how fast they turn this around. When we arrived on the ship the previous Saturday, we were in our cabin by 12:30.

dana, I just had a look at one of my Princess brochures. This is what it says in the "Tips for Your Trip" section.

"Do I Need Cash On My Vacation?,/b> One of the best things about Princess is the convenience of being able to sign for all your shipboard expenses, excluding stamps. Casino chips, slot tokens, and bingo cards can also be obtained on a casino room charge (for a nominal charge). You'll receive an itiemized list of all charges (and you can settle your account on the day of disembarkation). We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, Diners Club, Catrt Blanceh and American Express/Optima. U.S. currency, Canadian currency, British currency, personal checks for limited amounts, and traveler's checks are also accepted."

I think the catch here is "limited amount"!

I just called Princess because you got my interest with your question and the answer is that Princess will accept personal checks made payable to Princess Cruises in the amount of $250.00 per cruise.

Hope that helps. Though $250.00 wouldn't go it might help you in a pinch.
