Bill, If you go to www.cruisecritic.com, go to boards at top of page, and then click on Princess, and pose your question there, I know you will get many answers. It is a very active board. I will be in a mini suite on the Caribbean Princess on July 3, and will post a review on my return on Cruise Critic. I think we have a lovely mini suite!!!

We just returned from the Caribbean Princess yesterday. We had a minisuite on Dolphin deck, midship. Great room. Plenty of room for the two of us. Standard size bedroom with queen bed. Small desk with chair, mirror, electrical outlets. Two nightstands. Large closet area with ample storage cabinet adjacent to it. Television in a wall unit, with refrigerator. I believe these are standard in all staterooms (unless you have beds remain in twin configuration).Additions in minisuite: nice sitting room with couch and chair, nice bathroom with shower/tub combo, additional television. We really enjoyed our balcony. There were two plastic chairs that adjust to the recline position, but they are not lounge chairs. The balcony was not deep enough for a lounge chair (unless you remove just about everything else out there). In addition, there was a small footstool/end table, and a round table with two chairs for dining---all a sturdy white plastic. If you are looking for a larger balcony, you may want to consider a full suite, or a balcony cabin on the Caribe deck.

I am sure you will enjoy both the cruise and the stateroom. Have a great time.

Hi gaa...........what was your cabin number? I`m sailing on September 4th.......have a mini suite on dolphin D322. I was a wondering about the privacy on the balcony. How was the ship and the service? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Just got off Sat. too! We were on the Dolphin Deck. The balcony had plenty of room and we spent lots of time there. However, our balcony caught the food, ping pong balls, and water from cleaning the decks above. It was quite annoying. I strongly suggest a higher floor if you are wishing to have a larger and more private balcony.

Billy - Emerald mini-suites are covered. The balconies are larger than the balconies on Aloha, Baja and Lido (don't know about Riviera). The balconies on Dolphin and Emerald are slightly smaller than the Caribe balconies. Caribe balconies are twice as large as Aloha, Baja and Lido. Dolphin and Emerald balconies are about 50% larger than Aloha, Baja and Lido, so about 25% smaller than Caribe.

Hi Terispist2---Ship and service were great! Our minisuite was Dolphin 504 (or was it 506? can't believe I forgot already!) It was a great location. We never had food, ping pong balls, or other objects thrown on us or land on our balcony for us to step upon. We did not get water from them cleaning decks above. Maybe this was due to our location...we did spend alot of time out there and would have noticed. Anyhow, we loved the uncovered balcony--this is the third time we have had one on this class of ship. I really like the sun, and like looking up at the sky and out at the sea. I do not want to look at a roof over my head. (However, we have booked a minisuite with a covered balcony---aft on the Diamond---next March because hubby likes shade, and we decided to give it a try). On this trip, we never felt like people were staring at us or invading our privacy. We actually looked up during the sailaway and smiled and waved to those above---we had a pretty good view if anyone on those decks were walking around nude or doing anything "private" on their balcony, but we certainly did not linger with our glances, nor did we feel anyone else did.
