Went to Alaska on the Star May 31-June 7, 2003. Everything was great!One of our tablemates at supper did the helicopter/dog sled through Princess and loved it although we had perfect weather. The year before we also did an Alaskan cruise and that year our tablemates had their excursion rained out. We booked a Victoria city tour through Princess but did our other excursions through portpromotions.com.We tend to plan excursions that can go rain or shine and aren't so expensive.Any other questions - feel free to ask.You'll love the Star!PS - the first day at sea was pretty rough since you aren't really in the 'inside passage' but out in the ocean. Quite a few sea sick people that first day but on the way back the ocean was very calm so who knows?!
