I suggest taking the funicular from Creek Street up to the hotel above town and then walk the married man's trail back down. As mentioned above, Creek Street is a very short walk from the ships. I'm surprised you didn't see it.We've gone in August and the salmon were jumping up the ladder which is exciting to see as well while at Creek street.
