Hope you have gotten over your disappointment! I must point out that ANY thing mechanical is subject to operational problems, and something as complex as a cruise ship has unique challenges. The picture that you have painted is one that has been repeated many times, on many different ships (most are much newer than the Holiday), on many different cruise lines. I've cruised 34 times, 5 times on the Holiday and have yet to encounter any of the issues that you have mentioned. That might change on the next cruise, and if it does, I will deal with it without crying on anyone else's shoulder about my misfortune. Meanwhile, the last two Holiday sailings have been on time and without incident. She is scheduled for a routine drydock in two weeks and will be leaving the fleet in early November. I, for one, will miss her.
