Anyone ever paid for a "Day Pass" at a resort (i.e. Sandals - Ocho Rios)?

I contacted them and they said for US $45.00 per person, you can use all of their amenities and facilities. This includes water sports, land sports, pools, restaurants, premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, etc...

For someone like us that wants a nice beach, some food (like we will need any more than the ship provides), snorkeling, sailing, etc...it doesn't seem like a bad deal.

What do you think?

Great post. We're trying to figure out what to do in Ocho Rios in Nov. We don't really want to go to Dunn's River Falls, and we're Snorkeling in Grand Caymen, and Cozumel. So we're just looking for a safe beach to go to.

We didn't do it when there on Brilliance, but a bunch of other people did and had great things to say about it. Next time there (in Oct) we want to go with Peat Taylor. But a second choice would be to do the Sandals Beach thing. The people who went said they got more than their $$ worth!

Yeah, it really sounds like a good deal. You figure if you go snorkeling and get lunch somewhere on the island you will spend that anyway. I really was suprised at it only being $45.00 per person for the entire day.

I did find out that the only thing this doesn't cover is golf and spa treatments. Spa treatments would be extra even if staying at the resort.

You, obviously, can check the property and amenities out at www.sandals.com. For unlimited use of facilities, restaurants, and premium liquor....how can you go wrong???

By the way, if anyone decides to do this, they told me you DO NOT have to call and make reservations, just take a taxi there from the ship and go to guest services and request a day pass for cruisers.

Enjoy!
