We were on the Constellation in June cruising Europe. It was a great ship and we're planning to go on her again next year.
Great food, service, and overall great cruise.

please either let me know about the ship, or write a review. and i'm not one to be upset about a towel that isn't folded right ! or not enough soaps, etc., or no candy on pillow --- but if my bed isn't made than i'll let them know it ! haha so it isn't the little things that i'm concerned about, it's the big picture .... food, entertainment, photos...

thanks,
pam

Just returned from the Constellation. We've done over 30 cruises and both my husband and I felt this cruise was one of our best. The ship is lovely, the public rooms are large. We never felt crowded and the ship was full. The food was excellent and the specialty restaurant was sensational. If you're undecided about it, experience the dining, it was a treat, even at $25 a person. The crew was some of the most friendly we've encountered. Because our cruise was so port intensive, we barely saw the cruise staff. Celebrity tries to keep loud speaker announcements to a minumum and I must say, it was nice not to hear someone's voice blaring in your ear every 10 minutes. But, because they don't announce activities, you must remember where and what you want to attend, on any given day. The weather was warm during our cruise but we never found getting a chaise by the pool a problem. We had a category 1B cabin, which we found quite large, with lots of space for clothes, etc. The bathroom had adequate shelf space for all our items and although we didn't use them, a lotion and shampoo dispenser. And, the balcony has "glass" siding, so you can see floor to ceiling... a definite plus from the balcony and from the cabin. Anything else you want to know, you can e-mail me directly. Please put cruise addict in subject. Enjoy your cruise... we did!

We board her on the 23rd for 11 days. I love being at sea but, as you say, this trip is port intensive with some trips taking over 10 hours. Thanks for the information. Did you have a chance to use their internet cafe?

Yes, Frank... we did use Constellation's "Online" internet a couple of times. The cost was 50 cents a minute. We found that some of the computer connections were faster than others so if you sit down at one computer and the connection is booting up slowly, close down and move to another computer... it will save you money. A side note: we had no problem finding internet cafes in every port... average cost was about 75 cents per 15 minutes. Most of the time we opted for that. The Constellation is a wonderful ship... and our cruise was wonderful. Have a great time. Sandy

Not only are there Internet connections in some ports. There is at least one free one in St Thomas which we use every time we are there.

thank you for all your information !!! i am now more excited than before and have started my "countdown" calendar ! :) i really wasn't "worried" about the ship - but you know, sometimes they (corporations) think they make things better, but - the don't and you just never know... being a new ship you would think the best but - again - you never know... i've always been told that holland and celebrity were two of the best (i guess in "average" people) cruises --- and holland will be next - probably for the panama canal cruise. my first was princess grand so you know i started out on one of the most beautiful ships ! at least in our opinion --- for now --- ! haha

anyway - i do hope you all have wonderful cruises to come - and again - thank you for your responses. i am not going to give it another thought from now on - just anticipate it, and start packin !

Did you arrange for your tour of St. Paul en Vence in advance or just take a chance at the port?

Barbara11758... I assume your question re: tour in St. Paul de Vence was for me. We arranged the booking before we left. We used Alain at infos@dream-tours.com He was great, his van was air-conditioned and comfortable. He charges 45 euro per hour, per van, which holds 6 comfortably. St. Paul de Vence was one of the highlights of our holiday!
