I was on the Statendam a few years ago. I heard they have something called The Pinnacle Grill. I never heard of it before. Anyone know what this is?

At Statendam's recent dry dock, HAL built an alternative restaurant which features VERY FINE beef, fish, superb service etc Ryndam and Statendam are the only ships that currently have a Pinnacle Grill but if it is successful, rumor has it the rest of the "S" class will get one.
Those who have tried it say it was WONDERFUL and they raved over the menu, service and quality. ShipMaven posted a wonderful thread about it and if you search here and on the Community Board of C@ you will find her post. Worth looking for IMO (I think the time frame when she posted was about October 2002.

If you remember the layout of the Statendam, the Pinnacle Grill is found in the area between the Explorer's Lounge and the Rotterdam Dining Room - they removed the King's Room, Maitre D's office, etc. and added the Grill.
I had the pleasure of dining in Ryndam's Pinnacle Grill (added to that ship about the same time as on Statendam). It was outstanding - a true, culinary delight and worth every penny of the $15.00 - and MORE. The Pinnacle Grill has its own high level of provisions and its own galley.
It will be added to the remaining two sisterships, Veendam and Maasdam.
Zuiderdam's Odyssey restaurant has the same menu (and charge) as the Pinnacle Grill.
