Anyone used the kids club while school is in?

We will be taking my 6yo DD on a cruise next year and I was wondering how the kid's programs were during the normally slow periods for children.

In case no one with personal knowledge sees/answers your post.....

On Carnival there seem to be kids all the time no matter whether school is in session or not....so I believe they do the same things as when school is out...just with fewer kids. We went just after the end of Spring Break one year and were informed there were 300 kids on board...but there had been 900 the week before. We often see your child's age group attend certain functions in the auditorium together...I would estimate at least 20-30 and that was at night when some kids were probably with their folks.

I don't think there are any slow periods for kids, just normal periods and crazy periods. During the normal periods when school is in session, there will still be plenty of other kids your daughter will meet. CC does the same things they wld ordinarily do. My kids always have a blast, no matter what the time of year. (We've cruised when school is both in and out of session).

Remember that there are parents who home school, which makes their cruising times more flexible since they are not restricted to the " normal school calendar".

There are positives both ways. Yes, Camp Carnival is open even if only one child is there. (of course I doubt that ever happens) The fewer children, the more personal attention your child will receive. The more children, the more kids your child will have to play with. It is a win win!!

I just returned from the Pride yesterday. There was usually 15-20 kids in the club. My daughter complained more about leaving the club every day than she did when vacation was over. This was the best program I have seen at a resort.
