Has anyone been on this excursion? My husband and I leave on the Conquest in 8 days and we have this excursion booked. Would like to know more about what to expect. Thanks
We did the tour Feb. 07 and liked the ride there thru small villages and seeing the sites. What we really liked was the glasses of rum punch sitting on the bar when we arrived at the rum factory to sample. After the tour of the factory we arrived back at the bar where there was a lunch buffet waiting for us. They had all their rum on display hoping to sell you a few bottles. Oh!! I forgot to tell you about the long table full of a large variety of their rum selections and stacks of small cups to sample any or all you wanted. Then it was the ride back to the ship. We are looking forward to going again. I hope this is the same excursion you are referring to. When we went it was called Appleton Rum Factory tour. Maybe you can check and see if this is the same as the estate tour.. Mark
Yes, I'm sure it is the same tour. We are really excited to go, now that I have had some positive comments about it. Our only worry now is WHETHER we will get to go because of the hurricane (Gustav) that is bearing down on the Gulf.......Thanks for your input.
