Are the seas rough in September?

I have booked a cruise on the Glory on the 20th of September. Was just wondering if the seas would be rough around that time. I know this falls around the hurricane season window...
I cruised on the first week of November last year and did not get seasick...
Should I be prepared for a lot of movement this time?

We have been to the So. Caribbean twice in Sept. The first year yes - but not that bad. It was not really bad on the ship just when you would try to do shore excursions it was hard to snorkel. The second time it was just fine. Just depends on the weather.

It can be very variable. I have sailed in September when the water seemed almost smooth as class, and other times it has been kind of choppy. But I have never been in rough seas at that time of year.

We would agree that it just depends on the weather on your particular sailing

Just remember one thing, you are sailing during hurricane season.
Hurricane season usually ends around Nov. If you sail out from Fla. just check out the weather, and then call the port where you are sailing from to make sure they are sailing that day.......(this is just in case we get a hurricane warning) I was on the imagination when we hit terrible weather, ship was rocking badly that that had to cancel all entertainment, and everybody got sick...That only lasted for 1 day, after that all was great and we got to Mexico.
Hope the weather is great for your cruise,
Marilyn

P.S. If after you sail you hit bad weather at certain ports the ship will just bypass these ports and go to another.

had rough seas in july, but BONINE to the rescue. one child was queasy and one was actually throwing up. take bonine once per day -- no more illness for the rest of the trip.
i bought several boxes (at Walmart), but understand it is given out free at the front desk on the ship as well.

I really would not worry about it. Carnival provides barf bags free of charge... LOL

Chances are probably not that much more in September than other months for hitting bad weather. The captain will steer clear of most inclement weather.

Have a GREAT cruise ~~!!~~
