This may be a stupid question, so bear with me. :grin I thought Visas weren't required of US citizens to these two countries but have pulled up a couple web pages that say they are required. Is that right?
We were in England in July and needed nothing.
Take a look at the following: http://travel.state.gov/visa/americans1.html#e
It shows Visa requirements for US citizens to foreign countries.
I agree with johnt. We just returned from the Royal Princess and visited England & France, along with other ports. We had Passports of course, but no Visas were required.
In 1989 visa's were required in France. I mentioned needing one at a dinner party prior to leaving and one of my wife's friends innocently asked if they didn't take Mastercard!!! Shortly after we were there the requirement was dropped and they haven't been required since. There is no where in Western European that requires Americans to have a visa.
:lol :lol :lol Too funny, Shadowledge! :lol :lol That's what I must've read - old info. that gave me the idea that we needed them. Thanks. BTW - Obviously that woman hasn't travelled very much! :lol
