Never been before, will have child with us and we all enjoy snorkelling. What should be do for sure - snorkel in am??? walk around town?? etc. Help would be appreciated. We love the beach also. Looking at beach info in aruba and am all mixed up now on which one to go to. Adults will have their own snorkel stuff. Will be in town for 15 hours.

Palm beach is a nice long sandy affair with lots of hotels. The others usually mentioned eg. Baby are much nicer as in less used. But are a lot further away. Palm beach to active with water craft for snorkle anywhere where there might be something to see. That's a guess from my observasions only. de Palm Island had area that would be fine for kids and the coral was pretty good there. For sure if you wish to snorkle plan early cause it usually pretty windy in Aruba. It's a good place to rent a vehicle and explore the beaches if you are up to that. Cars/jeep type vehicles at the dock. Island otherwise pretty flat dry sandy windy and lots of catus. People are friendly.

We rented a jeep and explored the coast. We would just drive along the road (1a and 1b) until we saw a little beach, then stop and swim/snorkle there for awhile before heading off to another. We didn't see a lot of fish where we went, but it was great swimming.
Shopping in Aruba is a lot of fun, because everyone is so nice! Really, it's not just an act. While we were out exploring, we stopped for some water at a small, rural store. There was a young girl in there waiting to buy some stuff, and she insisted that we go ahead of her. When was the last time you saw that in the states?

OK, My husband and I plan on renting a Jeep for the day and driving around the island and seeing the Natural Bridge and Baby Beach.
Then in the early evening we are taking the Sunset Sail catamaran cruise and ending the night by lifting a few brews at Carlos and Charlie's, just to make sure that we have a good nights sleep!!! LOL!!
Aruba is what sold us on this cruise and we will be celebrating our 13th. anniversary during our time in Aruba. Only wish we could spend more than 1 day there!!!

Aruba...HERE WE COME!!!

If your child is a good swimmer and not afraid of deeper water, go on the Antilla wreck snorkeling trip. The wreck is in deep water (45ft or so), but lots of the ship is just below the surface or sticking up out of the water.

As for walking around town, the market area in town is pretty cool and has some neat local crafts.
