Does anyone know if there is an all inclusive or hotel with a day pass to use the beach and the facilities. Any ideas on shopping and beaching would be greatly appreciated.

When we went we stayed at Allegra. it is next to the Hyatt. Whwn you are there don't forget to see the Natural Bridge, it is incredible. Carlos and Charlie's is fun too. ;)

I have been to Aruba for vacation before, and we stayed at the then Sonesta hotel which has its own private island. It is now the Renaissance. It was a lot of fun with 2 separate beaches/swimming areas (1 family 1 adult/topless) plus non-motorized equipment and a small restaurant. They have a day pass for $50 which includes lunch, transportation from the hotel (very close to the pier), tennis court access, and equipment. The island is open from 7 am to 7 pm, and the shuttle runs every 15-20 minutes from inside the hotel lobby.

We stayed in Aruba for a week August 2002 and had a ball. The shopping district is right near the ship dock and you can hop on a bus ($1.00) to go to the hotel/resort area for relaxation on the beach. Also check out www.depalm.com for the different tours they offer. You can also rent jeeps and tour the whole island on your own. Item of note: the iguanas there are like pigeons in the city. They are every where.
