Just back from this cruise. It was wonderful! We took the tour to Seaside & Canon beach and we had a glorious day. The beaches and communites were fantastic and very impressive. All the "guides" are local people who volunteer. Our guide was a fire fighter from Astoria. He gave us so much information and historical background that was fascinating. On the way back from our 2nd beach stop he said "I can be quiet, or talk on the way back". We all said, "Talk!" He gave us so much more - very interesting. At the end of his talk, everyone clapped! The people are very nice and friendly. It feels like a step back in time - the way America used to be!

At the dock there were tents as previously reported but I found it very interesting to see the local artisty. Some of course was very pricey but there were some lovely pieces if anyone would so choose to purchase. I did buy some handcrafted jewelry from a girl who makes jewlery in the town. Lovely pieces and they were very reasonably priced.

We had a lovely day in Astoria.
