Has anyone ever heard of being able to buy passes to spend the day at Atlantis in Nassau, Bahamas?

For $25 you can get a guided tour of the aquarium and access to some of the grounds. Not worth it IMHO. Most of the same area is free of charge. THe $25 does not allow access to the pools or slides.

Can anyone tell me how to get a day pass access to the pools and slides at Atlantis?

I don't hink you can. The waterslides are for guests only. I considered booking a room for the night before we are to arrive, but for the cost of $330 , we decided against this. Let us know if you find out otherwise.

I used to hear about a guy from Comfort Inn that would meet you at the dock and sell you the pool and waterslide bands for $35.00 each. Does he still do that????

Buyer beware. I don't think I would give a guy on a dock in nassau $35 for a plastic bracelet.

My Mom was there in January and they booked a room that allowed them to use all the facilities.

I booked a room at the Comfort Suites( just across the street from Atlantis) so I could have use of all Atlantis facilities while paying about $130.00 less for the night(day) than Atlantis' rates. Atlantis no longer has "day only " rates just to use their facilities. And certainly Atlantis doesn't have an armband discount of $35.00.

you can take watertaxi or taxi to Atlantis. Taxi is much faster and was $4 per person one way. Watertaxi was $6 roundtrip, but takes longer, and you have to walk from the pier to the hotel (5-10 minutes). You do get a view of paradise island and its houses though, but if maximizing time at Atlantis is your goal, I recommend the taxi. The hotel is awesome. My dream is to win the lottery and be able to afford to stay there.

When we cruised on Disney Magic in 1999 - I just booked a rack rate room at Atlantis. It was the best thing we ever did -- not only did we get complete run of the grounds but also had a place to shower and rest! At the time the internet rack rate was less then $100 -- the Atlantis was beautiful and well worth the price! I'd forget about the day pass - they were offering those when we went - we chuckled at those poor folks not allowed to do this or that.

PS You've got to do the water slide -- almost straight down!

Talking to some cruise passengers, there have been a small and very luck group that just hopped on the slides and pretended that they were guests. Now guests wear bracelets; so it would all depend on how strict the guards are that day. Actually, lifeguards stand around at the slides, and I don't know whether they care or not. You can try using the slides, all they can do is ask you to not go. The lazy river ride through the shark tank must be awesome.

Why dont you call the Atlantis, speak to their conceirge, tell them you will be visiting the Atlantis for an afternoon, perhaps gambling in their casino, and your family would like to spend some time in the pool area. Ask them how much that would cost for the day to use the pools and waterslides. I stayed in some other hotel in the Bahamas 2002 but gambled and ate dinner at the Atlantis and I know you could buy wristbands at that time, with or without a room. I don't think they would turn you down, and that way you don't have to act like a fugitive all day at the pool.

I haven't read the whole post but, I heard if you have a room at the Comfort Inn you get access to everything the Atlantis guests get (inc. pool), this is a great deal, especially if you have a family, plus you get a room to change, etc. if you want.

Just spoke to somebody that offered a guard $50 for two wristbands. Her bribery worked.
