Anyone done the Atlantis Submarine? Thinking of doing it at Grand Caymen, also offered in Cozumel, not sure if it will be good, and where to do it. Much shorter stop in G.C. maybe time would be better spent doing something else? As a non-swimmer this sounds like a good way to see whats down there, won't happen any other way, lol! This is a once in a lifetime vacation for us, don't want to be sorry. Any advice would be appreciated, TIA

we took the atlantis "glass bottom type" boat in Grand Caymans. Actually half of the boat was above water, but you spend most of your time underneath the water in the glass portion of the boat. It was well worth the money for my and my wife and my three kids. They take you over a few ship wrecks and there really are alot of fish to see, and I mean alot. this is alot cheaper than the actual submarines and I can't imagine that you see too much more life.

We went snorkeling at our next stop in Cozumel and there wasn't too much difference in what we saw, however it was alot more fun to actually be in the water and be able to swim down to something if you wanted to.

we did the atlantis sub on our eastern carib cruise and we really enjoyed - its a real sub-goes down about 40 or so feet and has big windows for easy visibiliy and pix taking

We really enjoyed the atlantis sub, but if you really want a thrill there is an deep sea research vessel that will take you to 800 feet below serface, you see thing that most people only see on tv with the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ yes it is

In the caymans, you can go on the Nautilus which is a semi-submersible. Meaning only the bottom half is under the water. You get most of the thrill of the real sub but at half the cost. It was very cool.
