We were in Nassau in late January a couple of years ago. We went snorkeling and the water was a little cooler than I would have liked it. We still snorkeled but we only stayed in the water for about half the time we normally would have in the warmer waters of the Western Caribbean. We only paid about $30 per person for that snorkel so it was OK. Had I paid much more I would have been disappointed. Of course "cold" is a relative thing.
