Carnival offers an excursion to Atlantis. Not sure what the cost on it is but maybe someone else does. The truth is that Atlantis is just an expensive place to visit no matter what. Here's a link to the Carnival trip to Atlantis.

We have done the day trip to Breezes Bahamas three different times. It is an all-inclusive on Cable Beach so I think that's the best way to do Nassau.

Just take a cab to Atlantis $3-$4 pp each way....you can walk through and see the huge glass wall aquarium, go in the casino, shops, etc at no cost. Gorgeous place to see!

You can rent a room at Atlantis or at Comfort Suites to use the water facilities at Atlantis. There is no other way to do this but you can use the casino and go through the aquarium and the resort regardless. YOu can sign up for emails from Atlantis for specials or try expedia.com for deals as well. We paid for a room the last 2 times we went and it was so worth it. Only 4 per room and each will get an armband which will be checked. What we paid for the room was not much more than what an excursion for 4 would have cost us and it didn't include the water stuff. It was really nice to spend the day playing on all the amazing slides they have and then be able to go to the room and clean up before heading back to the ship.

Again, Cable Beach is the better beach and it is a public beach so you don't have to do the Breezes trip to go there. Beaches on Paradise Island are in the Harbor. Cable Beach is on the Ocean. It is kind of like seven mile beach in Grand Cayman. Lots of locals with just about any kind of water activity. Banana Boats, Jet Skis Water Trikes, etc. About $10 each way in a Taxi.

I just got back on Sunday from Carnival cruise to Bahamas, we booked a room in the beach tower for the Atlantis for around $240 but we brought clothes for the entire day/night. Used 2 of their pools in different towers and the beach which was beautiful!
