Princess used (last March) the hotel that's part of the SkyTower complex. From there you can walk all over the downtown of Auckland and go up in the SkyTower for views all around. From the SkyTower you will see the ship in port; it's also within walking distance. There are many, many travelers in the area, particularly a lot of young people. Enjoy your trip Down Under.Pat
