Availability of Shore excursions

I just checked the Princess website & noticed that the majority of the Shore excursions ( at least in St. Thomas) are only available April thru August. Do y'all think that means that the rates may change or the contracts with vendors expires or that we can't go ??

They do save a lot of the slots for excursions to be booked on the ship because not everybody has a computer or access to book on line so you'll be fine. I book a lot of excursions through shore trips. Here's a link.

Actually I just called Princess and asked about the availability of booking shore excursions for our trip in Oct and was told they would be opening them up shortly. I noticed today when I checked they had opened up and the excursions for post-sailing in Ft. Lauderdale/Miami were available. The port excursions should be available shortly. I strongly recommend booking thru Princess, we booked thru a non-Princess agency on a Mexican Riviera cruise in Mazatlan and almost missed our sailing getting back to the ship late. If we had booked thru Princess we would have been safe, they don't leave until all their own excursions return to the ship.

they only give price and schedule 120 days before cruise due to change in rates and change in excursion vendors. so then you can pre reserve.

Sometimes the Shore Ex's don't come out until 90 days or less.

I called Princess as I wanted to book a bungalow on Princess Cay and was told "approximately" 120 out. Our cruise is still 113 days out and still nothing is posted! I can only guess that once you hit the 120 days ... start checking the Princess website daily! Sometimes it's 90 days, sometimes 75 days ... Good luck ... hope you get the excursion you want!
